The John Adams Middle School Instrumental Music program offers many opportunities for young musicians of all grades and proficiency levels. Nearly 350 students are currently enrolled in one of three bands or three orchestras as well as a Music Conversion class that offers instruction on a second instrument (woodwind or brass). For all middle school Orchestra courses, placement is by audition only. Students may be required to purchase or rent the appropriate instrument, as well as purchase some instructional materials. Instruments may be obtained through a rental/purchase agreement from a local music dealer.
